Bedside neurodiagnostics for skilled nursing

EEG and cognitive testing, delivered to the bedside.

ICP brings physician-read EEG and cognitive assessment to residents' bedsides. Your building offers a service most facilities send out for, residents skip the hospital trip, and we handle the equipment, staffing, scheduling, and reporting.

Services

Three services, one visit.

Every study is ordered by the resident's attending physician and read by a licensed physician. Your team gets a written report it can use in care planning.

EEG

On-site routine EEG

A trained technologist records a standard EEG in the resident's room or a quiet space in your facility.

  • Portable, bedside equipment
  • Physician interpretation
  • Report to the ordering physician
COGNITIVE

Cognitive assessment

Objective, EEG-based cognitive testing on the BrainView platform, alongside standardized screening tools, when memory or thinking changes are a concern.

  • Brief, resident-friendly sessions
  • Results summarized for the care team
  • Repeatable to follow change over time
REPORTING

Reports and follow-up

Clear written findings go to the attending physician and, with your approval, the medical director, so results reach the chart quickly.

  • Plain-language summary for the care team
  • A named contact for questions
  • Secure delivery of results

For owners and operators

Why operators bring ICP in.

  • 01
A new service, not a new costWe bring the equipment, the technologist, and the reading physician, so your building can offer the service without buying equipment or hiring staff. We review billing with your business office before testing begins.
  • 02
Faster workupsDementia, seizure, and change-of-condition questions get answered in-house instead of waiting weeks for an outside neurology appointment.
  • 03
No transportResidents avoid an ambulance or wheelchair-van trip, and your staff avoid the escort time that comes with it.
  • 04
Stronger documentationObjective, physician-read results support diagnosis and care planning.
  • 05
Simple to startYour team identifies residents and coordinates the visit. We handle the rest.
The clinical case

Why EEG belongs in long-term care.

EEG helps clinicians tell a seizure from look-alikes such as syncope, which matters after an unexplained fall or a sudden change in condition. It also gives an objective way to follow whether seizure treatment is working, beyond what staff can observe. For memory and thinking changes, EEG-based measures add objective data to a dementia workup that otherwise relies on screening questionnaires alone.

FAQ

Common questions.

Where do you operate?

We work with skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in New Jersey, California, and Florida.

Who orders the tests?

Every study is ordered by the resident's attending physician or another authorized practitioner. ICP does not test residents without an order.

How is testing billed?

Billing depends on the service and on each resident's coverage. We walk through how billing works with your administrator and business office before any testing begins.

What does the facility need to provide?

A quiet space or the resident's room, a power outlet, and a staff contact on the unit during the visit. We bring the equipment.

How is resident information protected?

We handle protected health information in line with HIPAA and your facility's policies.
